How we help
Once your design is complete and you are ready to get your project underway, the time has come to obtain a Building Permit. Building Permits are issued by the Permit Authority (generally the local Council) in which the project is to be located.
To obtain a Building Permit, the applicant must demonstrate through plans and specifications that the project complies with the requirements on the Western Australian Building Act, the National Construction Code Series and subsequent applicable Australian Standards.
This is where MetroCert Building Approvals step in. By engaging MetroCert we will undertake the necessary assessments on the documentation to confirm the application complies with the relevant legislation and is in turn ready for submission to the Permit Authority.
Once compliance is confirmed, MetroCert issues a Certificate of Design Compliance to submit with your documentation. The Local Authority is now required to issue your building Permit within 10 working days.
